Tim in China

Tim Vyner has gone to China for two weeks, on an International Print Symposium. We got together at the end of last term to work out a hopefully fail-safe strategy that would enable him to make some work out there, come what may. Here are a few photos of the work he did then - a combination of photo-etching of stadiums and mascots, collaged ephemera (chine colle), carved wooden stamps printed in relief, and hand-rendered circles (cross-hatching on hard ground, aquatint, plus litho crayon used as a resist, sugarlift). Tim went prepared, with research material, sketchbooks, paper and his etching plates carefully packed in his luggage.
